Six black owned hot beverages to enjoy

Coffee appreciation is a trend that is gaining great momentum in South Africa. Gone are the days of chicory masquerading as coffee, LOL!!

And now with the onset of the winter season we have compiled for you a list of some indulgent blends to take you through the cold weather.

We have also added two tea brands that celebrate indigenous notes.


Grinda Coffee Co

Pretoria born and Johannesburg based, Nonhlanhla Ditshego is a woman following her dreams and working her passion. Her company Vuttomi Beverages, which develops coffees and gin crafts is taking over the hot beverages and spirits world.Her business is based in the heart of Houghton in Johannesburg.


Sihle's Brew

Sihle Magubane’s life was turned around when his adventures in coffee began a decade ago. Almost by chance in 2003 he was selected for training at the Ciro Coffee Academy, where he obtained the comprehensive International Barista Certificate through City & Guilds, an internationally accredited training body.



House of Indiza Tea

House of IndiZA Tea is a product of IndiZA Foods which seeks to promote South African indigenous food, and ultimately African indigenous food. These are food that you find mostly in rural areas, which among others include wild fruits and herbal plants. According to the founder Indiza is an abbreviation for indigenous and Zuid Afrika.


Setsong Tea

Setšong Tea Crafters is a 100% black-owned Company comprising of youth and women. The company stimulates the economy in a collaboration with rural cooperatives from Limpopo developed by a community development organization; Siyaphila Youth Support Services.
